New Cirrus G7 SR Series Aircrafts Now Available - Will SF50 owners return to piston class airplanes?

There are three typical paths for SF50 Vision Jet owners.  First, they love everything about the Vison Jet and their next aircraft will be a Vision Jet.  Second, they enjoyed the Vision Jet but an expanding family, flourishing travel ambitions or growing business necessitates a larger jet aircraft.  Third, they enjoyed the SF50 but really want to return to flying at lower altitudes in a piston aircraft.  Some owners, may simply want a cool new SR22 to fly...

If you happened to fall into the third category, then the G7 SR Series aircrafts may be what you are looking for.  The updates are pretty revolutionary and the Garmin avionics will seem comparable to the Perspective Touch avionics in the SF50.

Is the juice worth the squeeze?

So many amazing design elements, updates and features have been added to the G7 SR series, it really demands serious consideration for those interested in a piston-class aircraft selling new somewhere around $1,050,000 to $1,700,000 USD, depending upon features.

Check out the Cirrus Aircraft website if interested in more details.

With new design, capabilities and aesthetics of the G7 SR, there is no shame in returning back to a Cirrus SR series aircraft.  I can’t wait to fly one!

In a perfect world, I would have a Vision Jet and SR22 set.  Each are highly rated and have preferred missions.  While you can fly both airplanes long distances, the Vision Jet wins in terms of speed, ability to fly above weather, and cabin comfort.  Three steps and you are in the jet.  No wing walking to climb aboard.   On the other hand, the SR22 is great for regional missions since the duration and distance of the flight more suited for it.  Jet engines are inefficient at low altitudes.
