Preparing for Your Arrival:  Never let the plane beat you to the destination….

Preparing for your arrival at a destination airport is particularly important because it helps manage high workloads and makes sure you are ready to land.

Come along as I take off from KREG – Louisiana Regional Airport in Gonzales, LA on a cloudy morning on an IFR flight plan. I also discuss the N.A.R.T. Pre-Arrival Briefing Technique I use on most flights.

N – NOTAMS – Notice to Air Missions for an Airport

A – Arrival – Approach and Airport Information

R – Runway Environment Information – Know where you are landing and what to expect.

T – Taxi Briefing – Don’t blow a perfect approach and landing by getting lost on the ground.

We end the video with a landing at KTYR – Tyler Pounds Regional Airport in Tyler, TX.
